Thalric Sunweave
Keeper of the Amber Flame
Backstory
Raised in the shadow of the Ossuary, Thalric was apprenticed to a thaumaturge at the age of nine. He proved a gifted student — perhaps too gifted. His research into forbidden flame-weaving techniques earned him a formal censure and a reassignment to archival duties, which he has turned into an obsession with lost magical theory.
Personality
Thalric is enthusiastic to the point of exhaustion — his mind races ahead of his words and he frequently forgets that others have not followed his leaps of logic. He is generous with knowledge and genuinely delighted by other people's expertise, though he can be oblivious to social cues.
Lore Notes
He maintains a private collection of pre-Calamity texts that the Ossuary officially does not know about. Several of them describe techniques that should be impossible.
